Open postdoctoral researcher position in experimental dynamic materials research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The position is in the Physics Division within the Physical and Life Sciences Directorate.
The project will involve laser-driven dynamic compression experiments, with an emphasis on measurements of crystal structure and bulk temperature under extreme conditions.
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in physics, chemistry, engineering, or a closely related field, along with strong experimental, data analysis, and communication skills. Experience with HED experiments, X-ray or optical diagnostics, or high-pressure science would be especially relevant.
