Tyler Eastmond presented a poster titled “Developing Electrical Resistivity Measurements at High Pressure and Temperature Conditions in the Paris-Edinburgh Press” at the recent 2023 Postdoctoral Research and Career Symposium held at Argonne National Laboratory. The symposium, held on November 9, 2023, provided a platform for young researchers to showcase their contributions to the scientific community. Out of the 80 poster presentations, Tyler's work was recognized as one of the top eight, earning an "Outstanding Poster Presentation Award."

The evaluation, conducted by scientific staff from Argonne, focused on criteria such as overall quality, clarity, organization, and the presenters' oral communication skills and expertise on the subject matter. Tyler's work showcased a newly-developed, Paris-Edinburgh cell based platform designed to explore molten metals, thermoelectric materials, and electric transport properties under extreme conditions. Co-authors on the work include HPCAT staff members: Innocent Ezenwa, Curtis Kenney-Benson, Rostislav Hrubiak, Arunkumar Bommannavar, Maddury Somayazulu, and Nenad Velisavljevic.

This recognition highlights the potential impact of Tyler's research in advancing high-pressure experimentation within materials science and acknowledges his valuable contributions to the scientific community.
