Evgenii Vasilev is visiting HPCAT on a graduate research internship. Evgenii is completing his Ph.D. in Materials Science at the University of New Hampshire under the guidance of Marko Knezevic and is on a joint appointment with HPCAT through August 2022. His research at HPCAT will focus on further development and application of Laue diffraction technique to the study of atomic mechanisms of pressure induced processes. Evgenii's work will primarily involve the high pressure Laue diffraction setup at the beamline 16-BM-B. His Ph.D. is on applying experimental and computational techniques to understand the high-pressure behavior of materials.
