Tyler Eastmond is visiting HPCAT on a graduate research internship. Tyler is completing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Arizona State University under the guidance of Pedro Peralta and is on a joint appointment with us through April 2022. His research at HPCAT will focus on further development and application of energy dispersive x-ray diffraction (EDXD) to the study of amorphous materials under high pressure. Tyler’s work will primarily involve the Paris-Edinburgh press at the beamline 16-BM-B. His Ph.D. research is on applying experimental and computational techniques to understand the high-pressure behavior of polymer materials.
