Welcome Megan Mouser to HPCAT
Megan Mouser is visiting HPCAT for a graduate research internship. Megan is pursuing her Ph.D. in planetary geoscience from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Nick Dygert’s group and is on joint appointment with us through December. Her research at HPCAT will focus on extending the accuracy of 3-D tomography in the large volume Paris-Edinburgh press at the beamline 16-BM-B. Megan’s Ph.D. research involves experimental approaches to evaluating silicate melt properties and trace element fractionation during crystallization at high pressures and temperatures.
