We would like to welcome John Copley to HPCAT.  John is a graduate student at Princeton University (Tom Duffy's high pressure research group) and a recent recipient of multi-year Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) https://www.krellinst.org/ssgf/ .  As part of the fellowship, John will be spending time at HPCAT, as well as other DOE laboratories.  His proposed work is focused on time resolved measurements with high strain rate compression (piezo and gas membrane DAC) and coupling to x-ray platforms, with a goal of determining transformation kinetics in a broad range of materials.  While at HPCAT, John will be working with onsite mentors Guoyin Shen (HPCAT) and Nenad Velisavljevic (HPCAT/LLNL) and various HPCAT and APS staff.  The multi-year work will also help guide overall capability development with time-resolved high pressure measurements and upcoming HPCAT-Upgrade.  We wish John continued success and productive time at HPCAT.
