HPCAT would like to congratulate and wish Professor Rus Hemley and his team continued success in leading a new Center of Excellence in the area of Properties of Materials under Extreme Conditions as part of the Stewardship Science Academic Alliances (SSAA) program.

Chicago/DOE Alliance Center (CDAC), a Center of Excellence for High Pressure Science and Technology, will be managed out of University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) by Russell Hemley, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Distinguished Chair in the Natural Sciences and professor of physics and chemistry at UIC.
